MATX PhD candidate Andrew Spencer has had two articles accepted for publication. One, titled “‘A Fiction of Law and Custom’: Mark Twain’s Interrogation of White Privilege in Adventures of Huckleberry Finn,” which grew out of a paper Spencer wrote for Dr. Terry Oggel’s Twain seminar, will be coming out in the Mark Twain Annual this fall (publication date TBD). The second article, “‘Immortal Children of Undying Fame’: Oscar Wilde’s Quest for Immortality in The Portrait of Mr. W.H.” was accepted by English Studies and is slated for publication at the end of 2018. That article, too, grew out of a seminar course–Dr. Nick Frankel’s Oscar Wilde and His Circle.
Well done, Andrew!
