Professor Adin Lears Named a Society for the Humanities Fellow

March 5, 2020

Congratulations go out to Adin Lears, Ph.D., an assistant professor of English at Virginia Commonwealth University, who has been named a fellow at the Society for the Humanities at Cornell University for the 2020-21 academic year. The majority of Professor Lears' time during the fellowship will be spent completing her second book on crafting during the Middle Ages.

“I am surprised and delighted,” Lears said of earning the fellowship.

Lears was awarded $52,000 and will be in-residence at Cornell. The theme for the fellowship was “Fabrication,” which Lears thought that fit well with her book.
