This year marks the 40th anniversary of the VCU MFA in Creative Writing Program, and we are celebrating together April 4 -5, 2025! First come, first served for events listed below. We look forward to celebrating with you!

This academic year is an especially significant one for the program, as it marks the retirements of longtime faculty members Gregory Donovan, Clint McCown and David Wojahn. We plan to honor them at this event!  Most importantly, regardless of whether you have continued with a career in creative writing or succeeded in far different endeavors, we wish to honor all our alums and see your friendly faces once again.
