SJ Sindu and Geoff Bouvier to join MFA faculty

SJ Sindu is a Tamil diaspora author of two literary novels, two hybrid chapbooks, and a forthcoming graphic novel. Her first novel, Marriage of a Thousand Lies, won the Publishing Triangle Edmund White Award and was a Stonewall Honor Book and a finalist for a Lambda Literary Award. Sindu’s second novel, Blue-Skinned Gods, was published in November 2021 by Soho Press, and her graphic novel, Shakti, is forthcoming from Harper Collins. Sindu holds an M.A. in English from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Ph.D. in English and Creative Writing from Florida State University.
We are also excited to welcome Geoff Bouvier to the faculty. Bouvier’s first book, Living Room, was selected by Heather McHugh as the winner of the APR/Honickman Prize. His second book, Glass Harmonica, was published by Quale Press. Recent writings have appeared in American Poetry Review, Barrow Street, Denver Quarterly, jubilat, New American Writing, Western Humanities Review, and VOLT. He received an M.F.A. from Bard College’s Milton Avery Graduate School of the Arts, and a Ph.D. in Creative Writing from Florida State University.
