Bio

Born and raised in Rome, Italy, Bernardo Piciche was educated at Sapienza University of Rome, Université Paris 8, and Yale University. His first job was at 40, before then, he just studied. He currently divides his life between Richmond, Virginia; Washington, D.C.; and Rome. For him, art and scholarship represent a perennial conversation with the great minds of the past—guided not by an "anxiety of influence," but by a joy of influence—to better understand the present and envision the future.
